Gorges Viewpoint

A popular viewpoint in the Black River Gorges National Park, primarily due to its convenient location along the mountain road through the park. The site offers breathtaking panoramas of deep green gorges covered with tropical forest.

The national park was created in 1994 to preserve the unique nature of the island. It is home to endemic plants and rare bird species, including the Mauritius kestrel - one of the rarest falcons in the world.
