A new and exciting attraction in the Black Forest. The modern suspension bridge was opened in 2023; it is 450 metres long and rises 120 metres above the ground. The bridge offers a magnificent view of the Todtnau Waterfall, which, at 97 metres high, is one of the highest in Germany.

There is a car park at the entrance to the bridge (

You can see the waterfall from several angles at once, starting with the bridge itself.

Next, as you can see in the photo, some people are walking along the paths leading from the entrance to the bridge.

We didn’t go there, but headed to a more interesting spot instead. A little further down the road, there was a kiosk (coordinates
47.842250, 7.933333), where we had a delicious burger for lunch.

And then we walked to the waterfall along a flat, easy path and looked at it from below.

Getting there: if you’re not travelling by car, look for a route to the Hangloch bus stop.
